EXPANSION of 2013 NATIONAL COMPETITION

At the September 2012 Board Meeting of USAD Directors, the following opportunity was approved.

USAD has extended the invitation to participating states to send a "second team" to the National Competition on April 25-27, 2013 in Minneapolis, MN.

In an effort to reach 50 teams at the National Competition, states are invited to submit a second team, in addition to their State Champion.  If more second teams are submitted, than space available, USAD will select the limited number of such teams by highest score (based on the seven objective tests).

All participating National teams will compete in enrollment divisions (I, II or III), determined by USAD.

At the October 12, 2012 WIAD Board meeting, directors have endorsed USAD's invitation, with the following criteria:

At the March 15, 2013 State Competition Awards Banquet, WIAD will award our second highest scoring team overall with the opportunity to represent Wisconsin at the April 25-27, 2013 USAD National Competition in Minneapolis, MN.

The remaining top scoring Wisconsin State Competition large, medium and small schools will be given the opportunity to participate in the National Online Competition, simultaneously occurring with the MN event.
