Regional Competition consists of six written tests, administered in the same manner and with the same scoring process as Local Competition.

In addition, students engage in a 4-minute Prepared Speech, 1 1/2 - 2 minute Impromptu Speech, Interview and Essay Writing.

60 schools are selected statewide to participate at Regional Competition based upon the Local Competition results. There are five testing sites for the January Competition and 12 schools are assigned to each site.
