Wisconsin Academic Decathlon is a statewide Scholastic

Competition for high school students throughout the State. 

The program provides opportunities for students to experience

the challenges of rigorous team and individual competition. 

It is designed to: 

• develop a greater respect for knowledge

• promote inter-school academic competition

• emphasize the need for increased communication skills

• stimulate intellectual growth and achievement and development of team efforts

SCHOLARSHIPS

• Scholarships available to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall Student in the Honor (A), Scholastic (B) and Varsity (C) GPA Categories at State Competition.

• Cash Scholarship to Top Scoring Student on each State team.

• Direct Scholarships* for Regional and State scholars.

DIRECT SCHOLARSHIPS below are offered by PARTICIPATING INSTITUTIONS for the2011-2012 Season. 

The Top Three Overall Wisconsin Academic Decathlon State Scholars and the

Regional Top Scholars in the Honor, Scholastic and Varsity Divisions are

rewarded with the opportunity to select a Direct Scholarship* from one of the

following contributing institutions:

Lakeland College

Lawrence University

Madison Area Technical College

Marian University

Milwaukee School of Engineering

Ripon College

UW-Eau Claire

UW-La Crosse

Wisconsin Lutheran College

                     Colleges secured as of January 31, 2012.

*Each Direct Scholarship Certificate recipient must meet the admissions

requirements of their selected institute to be eligible for the Award.

Participating institutions are offering over $179,000 in direct scholarship

awards to this season's decathletes.
