| What is the difference between a Learner's Edge distance learning course and an ASCD online course? | |
Learner's Edge has built their reputation on our text-based, distance learning courses. These courses have no online assignment submission requirements. In an effort to give our customers more choice in when, where and how they learn, we have partnered with the well known, and highly regarded Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) to make available for credit, over 50 ASCD online courses. Be assured, no matter which learning model you choose, you will find our offerings to be leading edge, thought provoking, and versatile. |
|
| What should I do if I receive a letter about incomplete coursework for my St. Thomas course? | |
| If you've received a letter regarding your St. Thomas course and are choosing Option 2 of said letter, please click on the Univeristy of St. Thomas logo, download the Course Delay Submission form and fax or mail to Learner's Edge Inc. | |
| Can I audit a course? What are the audit requirements? | |
If you only need clock hours for professional development, and do not need full graduate credit and a university transcript, auditing a course may be a good option for you. Our onsite and text-based distance learning courses can be audited. The course fee is lower for an audited course, since you won't receive a university transcript. Rather, you'd receive a letter of completion on Learner's Edge letterhead documenting successful completion of the course and indicating the credit value associated with the course. Since you are accountable for the clock hours earned through an audit, the requirements/assignments when auditing a course are the same as the requirements/assignments when taking the course for graduate credit. |
