    Child Development Manager  
     As a lead member of the program’s administrative team, the mission of a Child Development Manager (CDM) in CESA 7 Head Start/Early Head Start is to establish and maintain a system that ensures the delivery of high quality child development/early education services that meet or exceed local, state and federal requirements.  Key strategies will include effective coaching/mentoring of staff along with clear communication of performance expectations and timely feedback. CDMs will ensure quality through a blended perspective of administrative and reflective supervision practices and periodic formal assessment of staff strengths along with   development of individualized professional development and/or performance improvement plans.

 Experience:  Preferred: (1) A minimum of two years of successful experience working in an early childhood setting with overall responsibility for child development services and supervision of staff, (2) EC teaching experience and/or experience in providing child development services through a home visiting model, (3) experience working within Head Start Standards and philosophies, (4) knowledge of community resources and processes for delivering services to children with a suspected or diagnosed disabilit

Education:   Bachelor degree in early childhood education, elementary education with current EC teacher certification, or a field directly related to early childhood education required. A Master’s Degree in Early Childhood, EC Special Ed., or Child Development preferred. Ongoing continuation education in ECE expected.

 General Description:

The Green Bay Area Public School District in partnership with CESA 7, are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Program Staff in our 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) After School Program at Lincoln Elementary School. Our 21st CCLC site provides a safe and engaging learning environment for students in out-of-school hours. Academic enrichment activities, such as tutoring in reading and math, and services that enhance the regular academic program, such as recreation, technology education, social-emotional learning and character education are offered daily. The 21st CCLC program affords students and their families the opportunity to work on academics as well as participate in various activities that provide enrichment, encourage teamwork and support academic improvement efforts.

 Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching or planning/facilitating educational activities during out-of-school time programs
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable in the planning and creation of targeted activities suitable in an active learning environment
  • High school diploma (Current High School Seniors also invited to apply)
  • Enjoy working with children who may be dealing with issues such as poverty, homelessness, poor hygiene, language barriers, etc.  
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certified OR able to obtain certifications within 30 days of hire (training provided)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working towards or in possession of Associates or Bachelors degree
  • Background in education or youth development

Compensation:

  • Part-time; school year only
  • Monday through Friday hours: start time 3:00pm; end time is 6:15pm
  • Program runs on full school days only

Part-time employees are not eligible for sick, vacation or benefits packages and are hired as Limited Term Employee (LTE) through CESA 7 with placement in the Green Bay Area Public School District After School Program at Lincoln Elementary School.
