Statewide Coaching Coordinator

The CESA Statewide Network is seeking to fill a full-time Statewide Coaching Coordinator position. The primary function of the Statewide Systems Coaching Coordinator is to provide leadership, coordination, training, and coaching to staff associated with the SPDG, Regional Implementation Teams and other coordinated regional supports, and other DPI-funded projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a training and coaching schedule in collaboration with DPI staff from SPDG, Title I, and additional staff who work in the area of school improvement, with the objective of increasing the consistency and fidelity to best practices for both systems and instructional coaches supported with state and federal funds
  • Develop guidance and training materials, aligned with the WI RtI Center’s Leadership and Coaching curriculum as well as identified coaching competencies, to support the development and expansion of a coaching system to be used across grant projects by embedding the most current knowledge of research and innovations in highly effective systems-change approaches, including the incorporation of implementation science tools and resources
  • Create and provide professional development for various audiences on coaching approaches, systems, strategies and activities to strengthen school and district capacity to develop and implement effective coaching systems to facilitate changes in educator practices
  • Participate in monthly meetings of the national SPDG Coaching PLC (online)
  • In collaboration with DPI consultants and grant evaluators, establish a system to determine impact of practices
  • Prepare reports and other materials necessary to aid in the ongoing reporting and information dissemination requirements of the Coordinated Improvement Planning process, State Personnel Development Grant, and State Systemic Improvement Plan

Qualifications

  • Experience in PK-16 education system, state agencies, and or in other key stakeholder agencies in the education community
  • Experience as a systems, leadership, team or instructional coach
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply a set of core coaching knowledge components
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data to enable informed decision making for groups and individuals
  • Knowledge of current best practices related to cultural responsive practices, and demonstrated ability to apply to personal practice
  • Demonstrated strengths in problem solving
  • Experience building interpersonal and external relationships, developing and implementing communication protocols, and the ability to bring stakeholders with varied opinions to a consensus
  • Experience coordinating, planning, and implementing training events/conferences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of technology including fluency with web-based communication and training platforms

Education

  • Master’s degree in education or a related field, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, along with completion of a coaching certification/program of study

 General Description:

The Green Bay Area Public School District in partnership with CESA 7, are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Program Staff in our 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) After School Program at Lincoln Elementary School. Our 21st CCLC site provides a safe and engaging learning environment for students in out-of-school hours. Academic enrichment activities, such as tutoring in reading and math, and services that enhance the regular academic program, such as recreation, technology education, social-emotional learning and character education are offered daily. The 21st CCLC program affords students and their families the opportunity to work on academics as well as participate in various activities that provide enrichment, encourage teamwork and support academic improvement efforts.

 Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching or planning/facilitating educational activities during out-of-school time programs
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable in the planning and creation of targeted activities suitable in an active learning environment
  • High school diploma (Current High School Seniors also invited to apply)
  • Enjoy working with children who may be dealing with issues such as poverty, homelessness, poor hygiene, language barriers, etc.  
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certified OR able to obtain certifications within 30 days of hire (training provided)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working towards or in possession of Associates or Bachelors degree
  • Background in education or youth development

Compensation:

  • Part-time; school year only
  • Monday through Friday hours: start time 3:00pm; end time is 6:15pm
  • Program runs on full school days only

Part-time employees are not eligible for sick, vacation or benefits packages and are hired as Limited Term Employee (LTE) through CESA 7 with placement in the Green Bay Area Public School District After School Program at Lincoln Elementary School.
