Student Services Office

The ADA Coordinator/Learning Support Specialist provides a wide variety of services to students. Some services are available to all students; other services require documentation of a disability .
Support Services include:

  • Individual and small group tutoring
  • Skills Center staff available for instruction in math, reading and writing as well as test taking skills, study skills and learning strategies
  • Alternative test taking and material format
  • Note takers and interpreters
  • Coordination with classroom instructors
  • Coordination of support services within the college and in the community
  • Adaptation of course work or programs
  • Kurzweil 3000 and other assistive equipment

Students with disabilities must meet with the ADA Coordinator/Learning Support Specialist before any support services can be provided. To ensure that support services are available when classes begin, students should contact the ADA Coordinator/Learning Support Specialist at least one month prior to the beginning of class.
