Educators, Community Leaders, and Past Kohl Volunteers,
The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation is seeking volunteers to help read and score applications for the 2026 Wisconsin Teacher and Principal Awards. Reader scores determine our finalists and award recipients!
Each honoree receives a $6,000 personal grant and a $6,000 matching school grant. (Note: Student scholarships have concluded as of 2025.)
Who can help: Teachers, retired educators, administrators, school board members, parents, community members, and business professionals.
What’s involved: Online scoring—no printing! Each application takes about 20–30 minutes, with brief online training and support provided.
When: Applications will be available for scoring January 8–February 8, 2026 (right after the holidays!).
If you’re interested, please register by Monday, December 8, 2025, and select CESA 7 as your reader region.
Once registered, you'll receive step-by-step guidance throughout the process.
