Wrightstown Superintendent Search Narrowed Down to Three Candidates


(Wrightstown, WI.)  The Wrightstown Community School District Board of Education has selected three finalists for superintendent who will meet with the board for interviews on March 23, 2023. Cooperative Educational Service Agency 7 (CESA 7) assisted the Wrightstown Board of Education with a nationwide search culminating with 26 applications. 

The finalists are:


Andy Space
Superintendent of the Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District since January 2019. Space earned his superintendent license through Marian University and previously served as the middle/high school principal and interim superintendent in the School District of Crandon after beginning his career as a teacher of special education. He serves on the CESA 8 Steering Committee, the  Federal Sustainable Forest       Committee, and the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators Small Schools Committee. 

Jennifer Rauscher

Director of Secondary Education in the Wausau School District since 2020.   Rauscher previously served as the high school principal in Plymouth, the Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator in the D.C. Everest Area School District, and an English teacher in D.C. Everest and Pulaski. She is a member of the District Learning    Leaders Committee For the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators, Vice President of the Wausau chapter of Learn Build Fly, and a member of the Wausau EAA Chapter 640, Wausau, Wisconsin, 2020-present. She earned her doctorate in Educational Administration from Marian University and has presented on educational topics at the regional, state, and national levels. 

Kurt Krizan
Superintendent of the Shawano School District since January with a dual role as    Director of Instruction and Personalized Learning. He was named Shawano’s Interim Superintendent in September 2022. Krizan previously earned his superintendent license through Marian University and served as Appleton Area School District’s    Director of Elementary STEM and Principal of the Elementary Virtual School. Before Appleton, Krizan was Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for the    Little Chute Area School District and a middle school teacher for the Oshkosh Area School District. He has served as a board officer of the Wisconsin Association of   Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) since 2018. 

A formal announcement on the new hire will be announced once an accepted offer has been reached. The next superintendent will replace Carla Buboltz when she retires in June.
