CESA 7’s Youth Apprenticeship Program to Hold Spring Job Fair

(Green Bay, WI.) Cooperative Educational Service Agency 7 (CESA 7) is excited to announce that the organization’s Northeast Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (NEWYA) program will hold a spring job fair for students and businesses on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. The job fair will run from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the De Pere High School commons (1700 Chicago St., De Pere, WI. 54115).

The event is a great opportunity for sophomores and juniors looking for a job to start in the summer and continue into the school year. Numerous Brown County businesses with current or future positions in the following categories have registered.

Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
Architecture and Construction
Art, A/V, and Communication 
Business Management and Administration
Education and Training
Finance
Health Science
Hospitality and Lodging
Information Technology
Marketing
Manufacturing
STEM
Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics

"The NEWYA team is excited to offer this opportunity for area businesses to connect with local high school students,” Dave Gordon/CESA 7 School-Based Coach, said. “Our goal is to create an educational experience for students and create a partnership with local businesses to mentor the next generation of the Northeast Wisconsin workforce."

The event is free for students and $50 for businesses.

NEWYA is taking youth apprenticeships to new heights and combines the strengths of three organizations - CESA 7, the Greater Green Bay Chamber, and the success of the former Anhapee Consortium - to create a streamlined process for students to connect with employers and gain valuable workforce experience as a youth apprentice.
